Rachel & Rosario

The two bouquets, hands down! It was a fun challenge to craft two distinct but related bouquets to reflect the couples’ unique personalities and preferences. (It reminded me of when my husband and I were shopping for wedding rings. I thought they should be similar to one another, but we couldn’t agree on anything. Finally he said, “Hillary, it’s OK if they’re different. We’re different.”) Anyway…
Rachel requested a bouquet full of fluffy coral charm peonies and delicate pastel poppies. Rosario leaned into the rosier tones in the palette, with a dash of lavender. Each bouquet was tied with loops of silk ribbon to give them a common element. I love the many creative ways photographer Sarah James captured the two bouquets together.
The cake table was really special. We surrounded the petite cake with flowers springing from the surface of the table, as if the cake itself were sitting in a meadow. Placed in front of the beautiful historic house at Cold Saturday Farm, the cake meadow made quite an impact and was a fantastic setting for a quiet cake cutting.
