What's in Your Garden: A Spring Floral Design Workshop

$115.00

In the DC area, spring offers a new surprise each week as the daffodils and cherry blossoms give way to tulips and redbud, followed by dogwood, spirea, irises, and peonies. You probably have some of these in your very own landscape and never even thought about cutting them!

In this workshop, we’ll celebrate the big blooming branches and all the other bounty of spring with a spectacular large-scale design. Join us Wednesday, May 13 at Park Story in Chevy Chase for an all-inclusive lesson on how to design with home-grown flowers and blooming branches. We’ll discuss identifying usable cuts in your own landscaping, cutting and conditioning branches, how to incorporate other flowers, vase mechanics, and design tips. Don’t have a garden? Don’t worry, we’ll also talk about where to source branches and flowers. Vases, floral material, and tools will be provided, along with wine and snacks to get your creative juices flowing. Take away a beautiful floral arrangement and a new skill!
